Step 1: Install Revo Uninstaller
Download Revo Uninstaller from its official website. The free version is powerful enough for most tasks. Once the download is complete, run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts to set it up on your PC. The installation is quick and straightforward, and you can choose to enable the program's Hunter Mode for quick uninstalls.
Step 2: Uninstall the Program
Open Revo Uninstaller. You will see a list of all the programs installed on your computer. Find the program you wish to uninstall, right-click on it, and select "Uninstall." Revo will first run the program's built-in uninstaller. Be sure to follow the prompts of the original uninstaller before moving to the next step.
Step 3: Scan for Leftovers
After the standard uninstaller finishes, Revo will give you three scanning modes: Safe, Moderate, and Advanced. We recommend choosing the **Advanced** scan. This performs a thorough search for any leftover files, folders, and registry entries that the program left behind. Registry entries are essentially a database of settings and options for your Windows operating system. Deleting a program with leftover registry entries can cause system instability, so a clean sweep is crucial!
Step 4: Remove Leftover Items
Revo will present you with a list of all the leftover items it found, categorized by registry entries and files/folders. Review the list (you can double-check if you're unsure), click "Select All" and then "Delete" to perform a clean uninstall. Your computer is now free of any remnants of the old program!
